Creating content that converts is crucial to online business. It makes selling easier, engages your audience, and most importantly, makes you money!
But how do you do it? This post will break down my three step process to create high-converting content every. single. time.
Here are the steps to turn those followers into clients!
First of all, if you haven’t done market research or you don’t know what your ideal client looks like, now is the time to dig into that research so you can understand who it is you’re selling to.
Second, don’t rely on inspiration. Creating content is an ESSENTIAL part of your online business and while posting when you’re inspired to is great, no one feels inspired every day. This doesn’t mean you need to be on Instagram 24/7. In fact, you don’t even need to be on Instagram at all if that’s not your thing. But you need to be creating content CONSISTENTLY and putting it out there no matter which platforms you choose.
The best way to be set up for success to post consistently and often is by planning and prepping. Start by keeping a list of ideas for when you’re low on inspiration, and work towards creating a content organization system.
Organization is freedom!
Yes, creating this system may be more work upfront, but it will save you so much time down the road and set up your business for long term success. If it takes you a month or two to nail down a content creation plan that will make your business a breeze for the next 30 years, that is SOOO worth every ounce of effort.
To learn more about WHAT information your should prep to create a content vault with endless ideas, watch this free training here in my Facebook group Laptop Lifestyle Entrepreneur.
Part of what I do for all my clients and programs is create simplified systems to break down everything and make it repeatable. For more on the importance of creating systems for your business, check out this post!
Creating content that converts is only one piece of the puzzle. You need a bigger picture vision of where you are leading people–aka, your customer journey. You need to be intentional.
When we are intentional about things, we are more likely to get what we want.
In order to lead people somewhere, you need to have a clear vision of where you want to take them. It’s one thing to post randomly inspired yet consistent ideas, and it’s another thing to post strategic and intentional content that builds upon each other and takes your audience on a customer journey to be ready for the point of sale!
If you keep posting randomly, with no real plan or organization, you are not going to get the results you want.
The online space is CROWDED and if you aren’t direct and clear about your intentions, your audience will pass you by for the next person trying to get their attention.
In order to be ready to buy anything, your audience has to go along a mental journey of truly understanding the value in your offer, why yours is perfect for them, and why they need this now before they are going to be jumping into your DMs to work with you.
When we do intentional planning for the content we create, you make the content work for you and make sales a no brainer for your audience.
Now the fun part–actually writing, creating, scheduling and posting your awesome new content and watching the sales come in!
This is the part where most people get stuck, and often it’s because they don’t bother with steps one and two. If you struggle with creating content that converts, take a step back and look at your process: is it creation you’re struggling with, or is your problem actually a lack of planning and intention? Do you have systems in place and a content routine?
If you are sitting down to write with no market research, no ideas, and no intentional planning, it is going to feel very difficult staring at a blank cursor which is why converting content creation is a process, not something you force at the last minute.
Some of the most common problems I see with my clients are:
If you’ve been creating content consistently and still not seeing results, it could be one of the problems above. Most often the issue comes down to a lack of clarity and organization.
