10 Best Cafes in Lisbon for Digital Nomads
1. Dear Breakfast
Dear Breakfastis hands down one of the best cafes in Lisbon and is my go-to work spot whenever we visit! It’s a beautifully designed cafe with tons of seating space, great coffee, and power outlets.
The staff didn’t mind us working there as long as we kept buying coffee or lunch and we were accompanied by several other Lisbon digital nomads.
Note: there are two Dear Breakfast locations and this one is way better thanthis one. The second location is downtown in a more crowded cafe space and is very loud so I didn’t enjoy working there.
2. Copenhagen Coffee Lab
This Scandinavian-style joint is another great working option for Lisbon digital nomads. Copenhagen Coffee Lab is popular with students and remote workers, which means you’ll never be the only one with your laptop out.
As a bonus, the coffee and baked goods are excellent. You won’t mind ordering more fuel to keep you going!
Fair warning: they typically leave the doors open, so it can get quite hot in the summer months!
3. Hello Kristof
Hello Kristofis one of the most popular cafes in Lisbon with both digital nomads and locals. It’s a unique space, part coffee shop and part store, they sell magazines, candles, aromatherapy kits, and more.
The clean, bright space is ideal for working and the food is delicious!
4. Outsite Coworking Cafe
Outsite offers a laid-back workspace, coffee, and cocktails (what’s not to love?). There are comfortable seating options and if you’re in town for a while, there’s also a coliving space located above the cafe.
This was one of my favorite places to work–the space is bright, open, and airy. But it’s a bit on the expensive side at €17 ($20) for a daily pass.
5. Fabrica Coffee Roasters
Located in the heart of the city, this specialty coffee shop is one of the best cafes in Lisbon–especially for digital nomads. Fabrica Coffee Roasters offers a laptop-friendly work environment with both indoor and outdoor seating.
If you’re a gourmet coffee lover, you’ll appreciate their roasted in-house, specialty brews.
6. Melbourne Coffee House
Australian-inspired and geared towards healthy eating, Melbourne Coffee House is one of the best cafes in Lisbon–especially if you’re vegan or gluten-free. Their menu has a wide range of brunch and pastry options, and they also sell their own homemade peanut butter, granola, and house-roasted coffee.
The wifi is good, but power outlets are limited (and non-existent on the patio). Grab a table indoors if you plan to stay and work.
7. Wish Slow Coffee House
Serving up specialty coffee, baked goods, and brunch, you definitely won’t go hungry at this place. Wish Slow Coffee House is a popular spot for digital nomads to get some work done, and it also happens to be one of the best cafes in Lisbon.
With strong wifi and plenty of power outlets, it’s an ideal place to spend your workday.
8. Seagull Method
One of the most popular cafes in Lisbon with both locals and expats, Seagull Method is a great place to work. Located in a charming pink building in Príncipe Real, it’s laptop-friendly with great food and coffee. The wifi is strong and there are power outlets spaced throughout the cafe.
You can also check out their sister restaurant, Heim Cafe, next door!
9. Rebel Cafe
With fast wifi, lots of power outlets, and reasonably priced coffee, Rebel Cafe is one of the best cafes in Lisbon for digital nomads looking to get some work done. Located in the nightlife district of Bairro Alto, it’s far enough away to be quiet but near enough that you can go for drinks after work if you want to.
If you’d rather spend the evening sightseeing, head to the nearby Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, which offers panoramic views across the city. Not a bad way to end your workday!
10. Break
For a little slice of Bali in Portugal, head to Break. This tropical cafe is an oasis in the city, with bright pink furniture and surrounded by plants, it’s an inspiring place to work. Their menu is also island-themed, with fresh fruit, smoothie bowls, and colorful dishes.
There’s lots of space both indoors and outdoors, and the staff doesn’t mind if you stay a few hours to work. Power outlets are limited so make sure you go fully charged!

hi, i'm Amanda
Three years ago, I chose to quit my corporate 9-to-5, sold all my belongings, and booked a one-way ticket to Thailand. I had no real plan—just a burning desire to see the world and a bone-deep certainty that there was more to life than my mind-numbing day job.
Since then I have started multiple business ventures including LLCo. which has scaled to over $1 million dollars in 2 years, and has helped hundreds of women from all over the world build profitable online businesses, defy expectations, and create a freedom lifestyle on their terms—no one else’s.
Every day you get to choose again as to how you will live your life - and every defining moment will come down to just that, a choice.
Here’s the thing - your past story, knowledge, and experiences may have shaped you to be where you are now, but they don’t have to define where you go next.
